Dental Assistant

Heather is an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant who graduated from Dental Office Training by Lynn.  She joined The Extra Smile team in 2020.  She loves spending time and traveling with her friends, family, and husband Jake. She enjoys getting to know her patients and strives to make sure they receive the best care possible! 

Alexis

Dental Hygienist

Alexis is a dedicated dental hygienist who earned her Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from IU South Bend in 2021.  She spent her first two years practicing in pediatric dentistry before joining The Extra Smile team in November 2023.  Outside of work Alexis enjoys traveling, working out, spending time with family and friends, and cheering at her brother’s football games at Northwestern.  She looks forward to building strong connections with her patients while delivering exceptional care.

Ciera

Dental Assistant

Ciera attended Dental Office Training by Lynn in Fishers and has been with Dr. Hoftiezer since 2016. Ciera enjoys forming personal relationships with her patients and making them feel relaxed & comfortable at every visit.  She lives in Arcadia with her husband Cort, daughter Lakelyn and golden doodle Boomer.  In her spare time Ciera enjoys baking and spending time with her friends and family.

Emily

Dental Assistant

Emily is a Dental Hygienist who graduated from Ivy Tech in 2021 with an Associate of Science in Dental Hygiene and has been with the practice since June 2021. She lives in Arcadia with her husband, daughter, and two dogs.  Emily loves to go camping with her husband, read, and spend time with her younger siblings and nieces and nephews in her free time. Her favorite part of her profession is getting to know her patients and being able to teach them how to achieve and maintain a healthy and happy smile.

Grace

Business Coordinator

Grace worked as an expanded functions dental assistant for years after graduating from the Indiana University School of Dentistry in 2011. She joined Dr. Hoftiezer’s team in 2017, where she strives to provide a welcoming and warm experience for each patient. Grace enjoys traveling, is a voracious reader, and loves spending time by the pool with her husband Colin and french bulldogs Stanley and Stuart.

Dr. Hoftiezer

Raised in Indiana, Dr. Tim Hoftiezer is proud to be part of the Hoosier state and to improve and maintain the dental health of its residents. Dr. Hoftiezer and his wife, Donna, have three children.

After graduating from Wabash College, Dr. Hoftiezer went onto Indiana University School of Dentistry, receiving a D.D.S. with honors. He holds many certificates in advance training, including Invisalign, cosmetic dentistry, and implant placement and restoration.  He has been honored as “topDentist” by Indianapolis Monthly 15 years in a row.

Dr. Hoftiezer is a member of the American Dental Association, Indiana Dental Association, The American Academy of Clear Aligners (AACA), American Orthodontic Society, Indianapolis General Dentistry Study Club.

Away from the office, Dr. Tim enjoys spending time with family, dental continuing education, gardening, hiking and travelling (especially to National Parks).

Some fun facts about Dr Tim:  He has a younger fraternal twin brother and two older sisters.  He met his wife detasseling corn – a true Hoosier love story!  He also lived in Sweden when he was a teenager for his father’s sabbatical.  His connections to Indiana University run deep as he attended dental school and his father’s professorship for IU School of Medicine  He’s also a die hard Liverpool soccer fan and sometimes can be found at Union Jacks for the games.  

His passion for patients’ oral wellness combined with his listening and understanding of patients’ concerns truly elevates his practice.  The Extra Smile team’s kindness and compassion truly makes the office a special, unique place. 

Cindy

Hygienist

Cindy has been a dental hygienist for 25 years. She graduated from USI with a bachelor of Science degree in Hygiene in 1992. Cindy has worked for Dr. Hoftiezer since 2015. She loves being a hygienist, and it shows in her work with her patients. She lives in Greenfield with her husband and enjoys spending time with her husband, three children and four grandchildren.

Susie

Dental Assistant

Susie graduated from the University of Southern Indiana dental assisting program in May of 2024.  She joined The Extra Smile team shortly after working as an expanded functions dental assistant.  In her freetime she enjoys spending time with her family and fiance while navigating the process of wedding planning.
